A PET PORTRAIT
A pet portrait will immortalise your best friend and their unique personality.
Where do we start?
Step 1: Let me know what size you would like to order (options listed below), and attach your favourite photo of your pet. The better the lighting and the clearer the details are, especially the eyes and facial features, the more alive their likeness will be. If you are unsure, we can have a chat about what will work best.
Step 2: Once we have both agreed on the project details, a 25% deposit will secure your portrait.
Step 3: I will send an initial composition for you to OK. Then leave the drawing up to me! Once complete, your artwork will be ready for local pickup or shipping.

Shipping
Australia: Postage is $20 for A3 size or below. The drawing will be posted unframed, flat and well-protected, with tracking.
International: US, Canada, UK = Yes. Contact me for a shipping quote to your country. International orders may be subject to customs fees upon arrival, which you will need to pay.
Returns
I do not accept “change of mind” returns and deposits will not be refunded.
How to handle the art
Hold the drawing on the edges only. Please, do not touch the pastel! I do spray with a light layer of fixative, but the pastel will still smudge if you touch it.
Do I offer framing?
No. Framing is a very personal thing, so you are better off choosing a local framer that will work with you to meet your style and budget. As I work with pastels, framing is best with matting or spacers which will prevent the pastel from sticking to the glass.
Do I offer prints?
No. I do not offer prints, as my interest is in quality, original works of art. You are welcome to make your own print copies of your pet drawing for family and friends, but not for commercial use.
What materials do I work with?
I use Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils, and Derwent pastel pencils, on sand coloured Pastelmat by Clairefontaine.
